To observe in "real time," Internet access is required. A static IP address is needed and can be purchased through your local telephone company for a monthly fee.

Any camera can be connected to a DVR system which has CD burning (recording) capabilities and playback options.  The DVR continues to record even while burning a CD or while content is being reviewed.
